Storm Center is an weather news television program on The Weather Channel. It debuted at 4pm EST on November 15, 2021, replacing the time slot previously occupied by Weather Underground, which itself replaces Weather Center Live's 12-4pm time slot.[1]
Hosted by Jacqui Jeras and Chris Warren[2], the program focuses on current weather information and discussion of historic weather systems. The program is aired in hour-long blocks. Each block begins with a look at currently active National Weather Service watches and warnings for the contiguous united States, and afterwards focuses on active and upcoming weather systems. One of the three hosts of the show will be positioned at a command center, enabling them to quickly switch to and discus active weather events at that moment; the hosts refer to this position as being "on the radar". Some historical weather systems are also discussed, which have a relation to the current season or weather situation. For example, the first week of programs featured features on the "Perfect Storm" and fall's severe weather season in the southeastern United States. Other segments will often feature a discussion on weather impacts on society. Seasonal features included a live drive-along with a cross-country trucker for the week of Thanksgiving 2021.
