Kristina Abernathy is a former on-camera meteorologist for The Weather Channel.
Education
Kristina is a native of Georgia. She graduated with a B.S. in Atmospheric Science from the University of North Carolina in Asheville, North Carolina.[3]
Career
Prior to appearing on The Weather Channel, she appeared on WALB-TV in Albany, Georgia. She joined The Weather Channel in July 1995.
On February 2, 2009, Kristina Abernathy was laid off from The Weather Channel, alongside Kristin Dodd, Rich Johnson and Mark Mancuso. The layoffs triggered a reaction of shock and frustration from fans.[4]
