TWCforums was a forum related to The Weather Channel fandom that was a predecessor to TWC Today launched circa 2004.

History

TWCforums was established sometime in 2004, possibly later in the year,[1][2] by Justin (also known as jamnola) and Gary Tanner, Jr.,[2] the latter of which went on to serve as a moderator.[3] Tanner cited controversy surrounding the TWC Message Boards, another contemporary TWC fandom forum, as reasoning for the creation of a new forum.[2] In 2005, TWCforums had 20 members, just under half of the members that the TWC Classics forum had at the time.[3] According to Tanner, Justin eventually "disappeared" from the forum, leading to Tanner taking the initiative to start the current TWC Today website and forum.[2]
