Intelliguy, also known as MikeM2011 or Mike M, is one of the longest active members of The Weather Channel fandom, having been a part of the community since 2004. He launched one of the first YouTube channels dedicated to footage of The Weather Channel, primarily featuring footage of various IntelliStar units across southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey from the 2004 to 2012 timeframe but also featuring some on-camera personality coverage.
History
Mike first came across The Weather Channel in 1997, citing 1999 as the year that he became a fan of the channel. He first came across Weatherscan in 2001 and became a frequent watcher of the network thereafter. By 2002, he had become a daily watcher of TWC, watching Your Weather Today in the mornings before school.[2] He stopped watching the network frequently in 2004 but considered himself a fan of the network as it was until 2006.[3] He launched his YouTube channel on August 8, 2006.
He joined The Weather Channel's fan community in 2004, first joining the TWC Classics forums and joining the weather.com Message Boards soon after. He registered his current account on TWC Today (then TWC Classics) on August 6, 2005[4], later registering for an account on Taiganet on April 4, 2006.[5]
