The Weather Channel Local Edition was a network launched by The Weather Channel in the early to mid 1990s. The network appeared to have been similar or a predecessor to Weatherscan, as it featured a 24/7 local weather forecast with music on loop.[1] It is unclear whether The Weather Channel launched this service as a full service network, as there is only one report of the network only launching as a test for Continental Cablevision in Westchester, NY.[2]
